The Luminous Life Challenge

Circles

Day 16 The Luminous Life Challenge

Circles (And Getting A Bridge/Next Step To Take)

When I was a child, there was a haunted house nearby.

Everyone ‘knew’ it was a haunted house, and there were many stories.

Nobody knew the origin of this, yet many tales were told.

That space had been defined as a haunted house, and it held.

We also have sacred, magical spaces.

Circles… for thousands of years, we have gathered in circles, ceremonies, in grief and in celebration.

We have also used rhythm to connect, regulate and remember.

It's ancient - our bodies still remember - it’s not new.

For over 30,000 years, people have gathered for shamanic ceremonies - often led by women. We gathered around the fire, celebrated our feminine divinity and told ancient and new stories and shared myths.

The circle symbolises wholeness, eternity, unity.

Pythagoras called the circle the perfect shape, in that it’s infinite, and all its points are equidistant from the centre, which symbolises wholeness. It embodies the journey from the unknown, the void, to consciousness.

The circle is a sacred geometry which takes us inward to the centre (Goddess, God, cosmic consciousness) and returns out, mirroring creation and enlightenment.

“Everything of power is in a circle”, said the Native American, Black Elk. The sky, the seasons, life cycles.

Shamanic drums evoke the cosmos and cycle of life, death, rebirth and are tools of protection and celebration. Beating them connects with the ancestral heartbeat, forging sacred space and linking material with spirit.

Magic circles have been used globally, from Mesopotamia’s flour circles to medieval ritual. Circles serve as protective thresholds in rites, and they demarcate the sacred from the profane  .

The word Mandala (which means ‘circle’ or ‘completion’ in Sanskrit are spiritual maps of the cosmos and sacred symbols representing the universe and wholeness. They express concepts about consciousness and the nature of existence.

So there you go, that’s circles.

So now, we’re going to move forward into giving YOU a way to reconnect with your ‘Heaven on Earth (HoE)’, your ‘current reality’, and most importantly for now - your bridge.

What’s the next step to take to move you forward, to creating what you love (your HoE)?

So, if you were to imaginatively draw a golden circle on the floor and DEFINE it as your Heaven on Earth, and step into it, you can CHOOSE to get guidance, symbols, visions, when you’re in that circle.

You can also do the same with another circle, and define it as your ‘current reality’.

And then…. The final circle you can define as your ‘bridge’, step into that circle, and get guidance on a bridge, a next step, or an action to take.

With these symbols, choose to allow the symbol to emerge in your mind’s eye, and go with the first thing you get.

As always, happy to assist, and answer any questions about this.

Sending you SO much love,
